Kenko Studios – Privacy Policy

Kenko Studios Limited ("Kenko", "we", "us") provides wellness services through our mobile apps and website (kenko.studio). This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. It is written to satisfy Apple App Store and Google Play requirements and the NZ Privacy Act 2020.

1. Who we are & contact details

2. What this covers

  • Our iOS and Android apps published by Kenko Studios (built with Wix Mobile Services).

  • Our website and any in‑app features.

It doesn’t cover independent third‑party sites you open from our app.

3. Data we collect (only what we need)

You give us: name, email, password/sign‑in token, booking history, class preferences, messages/feedback.
 

Payments: handled by Apple, Google or Wix/Stripe – we don’t store full card numbers.
 

Automatically: device/OS type, app version, anonymised identifiers, crash/diagnostic data, general location (city/region) for localisation.
 

Optional connections: If you link other services (e.g., Apple/Google single sign‑on), we receive the basic profile those services provide.

We do not collect sensitive health metrics (e.g., heart rate) unless we clearly ask and you consent. Currently, our app does not request HealthKit/Google Fit data.

4. Why we use your data

  • Run the app, create/manage your account, book classes.

  • Send confirmations, reminders, receipts and service notices.

  • Improve reliability and fix bugs (analytics and crash logs).

  • Comply with law and defend our legal rights.

Legal grounds: your consent (e.g., marketing), our contract with you (to provide the service), and our legitimate interests (to improve and secure the app).

5. Sharing & disclosure

We share data only with:

  • Service providers/Processors: Wix (app platform & hosting), analytics/crash tools (e.g., Firebase/Crashlytics), email/push services. They act on our instructions only.

  • Payment platforms: Apple, Google, Stripe/Wix Payments for purchases.

  • Legal/safety: if required to meet law or protect rights/safety.

  • Business change: if we sell/merge the business, your data may transfer under the same protections.

We don’t sell your personal information. We don’t allow third parties to use it for their own advertising.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

How to delete / request deletion (Wix Mobile App & site):

  • In‑app (default Wix Spaces / Branded App flow): Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy → Request data deletion. This sends us a deletion request; we get a notification in our Wix dashboard and complete the permanent erase.

  • If you created an account on our site: You can also submit the Delete My Data form in the site footer or email hello@kenko.studio.

  • We then permanently delete or anonymise your personal data across our systems and Wix within a reasonable timeframe (normally within 30 days), unless we must retain some data for legal or accounting reasons.

 

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can:

  • Access or correct your information.

  • Ask us to delete it.

  • Withdraw consent (e.g., marketing).

  • Request a copy (data portability).
    Email us and we’ll respond within the legally required timeframe.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls). No system is 100% secure; please keep your login details safe.

9. Children

Our services aren’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). If a child has provided data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10. International transfers

Our providers may store/process data overseas (e.g., AU, US, EU). We use contractual or other safeguards where required by law.

11. Changes

We’ll update this policy when needed and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified in‑app or by email.

Finding the studio for a class or service is easy! 

On arrival, you will see black signs pointing you in the right direction.

Move Studio classes are located up the spiral staircase on the second floor of Kenkō Studios.

Services are located in the Well Studios on the ground floor, through the courtyard via the glass door at the front of the building.


Address: 40 St Benedict's Street, Auckland, 1010.

Parking: On-street parking is always free to the right of Kenkō and outside of working hours everywhere. To the left of Kenkō, there is paid parking (during work hours) and numerous parking buildings nearby.
